Christopher Dinunzio SRMP-C SAS-AP®

Professional Background

I am a Canadian security strategist, consultant, and author with more than two decades of frontline experience in high-risk environments. Since 2006, I have accumulated approximately 50,000 hours of operational work. This work spans security leadership, crisis response, industrial operations, and training development. My work is built on what I have earned and learned in real conditions, not classroom theory.

I specialize in strategic security operations. I develop SOPs. I focus on risk management and crisis preparedness. My skill is for organizations operating where mistakes carry real consequences. My focus is simple. I aim to reduce risk. I work to improve decision-making under pressure. I professionalize security practices so they actually work in the field.

Earned Experience, Not Theory

My career began on the front lines in hospitality and nightlife. I learned early that presence alone does not prevent incidents. Systems do. Training does. Judgment does.

I later founded and operated Dinunzio Protection Services from 2016 to 2019. I scaled the company to over 150 personnel. These personnel were spread across healthcare facilities, retail environments, shelters, and major public events. That role required constant balancing of liability, human behavior, policy, and real-time decision-making under stress.

Beyond private security, I have worked in the Alberta energy sector as a derrick-hand and wireline operator. I have held leadership roles in demolition and industrial environments. I have also operated in settings where safety, fatigue management, and procedural discipline are non-negotiable. This cross-sector exposure informs how I design security systems today.

What I Do Now

Today, I operate as CDN Security Consultant.I advise organizations, security leaders, and frontline professionals who carry real responsibility in high-pressure environments. My work is direct and structural:• Operational audits that expose weakness before it becomes failure• SOP design built for execution, not binders• Incident response and crisis structure that functions under pressure• Training systems that create competent operators, not certified spectators• Mentorship for supervisors who must make decisions that carry consequenceThis is not advisory theatre. It is disciplined operational architecture. The standard is simple.Build systems that work when tested.

I am a Security Risk Management Professional – Country Level (SRMP-C) and a Situational Awareness Specialist – Advanced Practitioner (SAS-AP®). I am also a registered United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) vendor, meeting international vetting standards for security and risk professionals.

Author and Instructor

I write and teach to raise standards in an industry that too often relies on basic compliance.

As an instructor, I deliver bespoke training in security and protection operations. My approach focuses on clarity, accountability, and performance under stress.

My Operating Philosophy

Security is not about optics.
It is about timing, judgment, systems, and restraint.

Most failures I have seen were not caused by lack of effort. They were due to tolerance for weak training. Unclear procedures also contributed, as did poor leadership. My work exists to close that gap.
